Purpose of the Strategic Plan
The Strategic Plan reflects the thoughts, feelings, ideas and wants of the members of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax. It molds the mission and vision into an integrated document. The purpose is to help establish priorities in order to better serve the needs of UUCF. It serves as a guide for implementing and evaluating programs and for making adjustments. It is a tool for organizing the present on the basis of projecting the future ... a roadmap that leads us from where we are now to where we would like to be.
The Strategic Plan is the result of a process designed to help the various ministries, committees, and programs of the congregation produce the information needed by the primary decision-making groups of the congregation—the Board, the Coordinating Team, the Council of Lay Ministers, the various committees, and , ultimately, the membership. Particularly, the plan will enable the Coordinating Team to make periodic -- annually and more frequently -- decisions about resource allocation and program emphasis and content.
