Thank you for coming to our Visitor web page. We take welcoming Newcomers seriously here at the Unitarian Universalist Congregatin of Fairfax.
Our campus is located one mile from the heart of Oakton, VA.
To get to know us better, we urge you to visit us any Sunday morning for Worship services, either the 9:15 or 11:15 A.M. Plenty of visitor parking is available in specially reserved spaces. While we are currnetly undergoing construction, we still have all our normal activities for Sunday morning. You may wish to get here just a little early to orient yourself, especially if you are bringing children. Please do make a point to stop at our Welcome Table, either as you arrive or before you leave. Children are welcome to stay with their parents thoughout the service, or visit the Religious Exploration classes for their age, which ever is most comforatable for the family. We also offer nursery for those up to the age of three.
We welcome new people at any of the church activities you may find announced on this web site or in the annoucemnt section of our Sunday bulletin. We hope you will also consder joining us at the following Membership Committee activities:
Visitors Lunch: You are invited on the first Sunday of each month (except June) after the 11:15 service, to a special meal (after the 10:00 service in July, August) in the Social Hall of the Program Building. You will be joined the by members of the Membership Committee, at least one of our Ministers, and a few lay leaders of the congregation, who can answer questions for you about UUCF and our UU faith.
Newcomers Classes: The Membership Committee offers 4 hours of orientation several times a year for newcomers as an overview Unitarian Universalism and the programs and volunteer opportunities here at the UU Congregation of Fairfax. Our next session will be a 4 hour class on
Saturday, June 7, 9:00am- 1:00pm. We will serve a light lunch after for any who care to stay.
If you are coming to us from another Unitarian Universalist congregation and are familiar with the UU faith but new to our UUCF community we urge you to attend a Membership Class. These classes are offered frequently during the year.
