UUCF’s mission is to support each other as we pursue spiritual growth and challenge ourselves to transform the world through acts of love and justice. To this end the ministers, the director of music, the lay ministers, and members of the community have collaborated to offer a far-ranging program to fulfill that mission.
Programs at UUCF are open to members and our friends in the larger community.

Current Adult Program Offerings
Yoga: A Spiritual Journey 8 Saturdays, beginning April 12, 9:30am Register by March 5.Classes are designed for all levels, beginners to advanced students. Classes are held in Rooms 3 and 4 of the Program Building. 8 Sessions for $88. Contact Ravi Kaur: christine.mason4@cox.net
Travel Treks - Luray Caverns Saturday, June 14, leave UUCF @ 10:00am Sign up beginning Sunday, May 4. Leave UUCF at 10:00am, return around 5:00pm. Visit the caverns as a group with our own guide. Visit to the car and carriage museum included in admission. Admission is adult $13 and child 6 - 12, $6 if we have 20 or more in our group.

Drumming Circle Third Saturday of the month, beginning September 15, 3:00pm Facilitated by Jeff Gilliam Come and join your fellow UU drummers at the monthly UU drum circle. Jeff Gilliam who plans to make this a monthly event on the third Saturday of every month will be facilitating and plans to make this accessible for all ages and experience levels. Drums will be provided but Jeff's supply is limited so please bring one if you can. Hope to see you there.
Brown Bag Religion Third Wednesday of every month, 12:00 noon Hosted by Mary Katherine Morn, Bill Welch, and Natalie Fenimore This is a chance to talk about a variety of religious topics and concerns over lunch with a diverse group of people in the congregation
Conscientious Knitters (We Get the Point) Laureen Branting: auction project, data base Laura Miller: newsletter editor Ann Richards: workshops, newsletter coordinator Danielle Sullivan: Purling for Puriang Mondays, 7:30-9:00 pm, plus special workshops February 25, March 24, April 28, June 23 Program Building $10 includes monthly newsletter Conscientious Knitters includes four types of activities. All those who register will have access to the newsletter. Participation in the other activities is voluntary and informal. Activities include: Drop-in knitting circles to meet other knitters, work on a project, get assistance on a knitting project, and share knitting news. (These are last Wednesdays of the month in the Program Building unless announced otherwise in the newsletter.) · A project in which volunteers have the opportunity to knit pieces that will be made into a komono coat to be sold at the annual UUCF auction in November. · Occasional special programs, workshops, and gatherings. · A newsletter to include notices of the above events; information about fair trade yarns and companies that support social justice causes; information about other social justice organizations for knitters in the area; book reviews and notices about materials that address knitting as a "spiritual" activity; an miscellaneous information of interest, such as up-coming knitting community events, yarn sales, etc.

Shepherd Center Adventures in Learning Spring Session is every Thursday, April 10 - June 5 (no classes May 1) 9:00am – 2:00pm at UUCF Session registration fee is $35, and allows you to take any class The Shepherd’s Center of Oakton-Vienna (SCOV) is a non-profit interfaith organization sponsored by area congregations and community groups to serve older persons in the Vienna and Oakton areas of Northern Virginia. Their primary purpose is to provide services to assist older adults to continue to live independently in their own homes and to offer programs which supply opportunities for enrichment, learning and socialization. Members and friends of UUCF who are 50 and older are invited to join them. More information can be found on their web site: www.scov.org or by calling 703-281-0538.

Cancellations: Please let the church office know (281-4230) if you cannot attend a course for which you have registered. Once you register, we plan for you, reserving space and preparing handouts. Refunds will be mailed to those who cancel before the first session.
