UUCF has a history of strong programs in religious exploration. On Sunday mornings during both services we offer nursery care for infants and toddlers and classes for older children and youth. The age-appropriate curricula reinforces our Unitarian Universalist Principles:
- That each and every person is important
- That all people should be treated fairly
- That our churches are places where all people are accepted
- That each person must be free to search for what is true and right in life
- That everyone should have a voice in things that concern them
- That we all are needed to work for a peaceful, fair, and free world
- That we are all stewards of our planet Earth
UUCF Children's Religious Exploration classes are open to the children of all members, pledging friends, and members of the community. We do ask that children who will be attending on a regular basis be registered by their parents by filling out a card with some basic information about themselves and their child(ren).
Our teachers are volunteers from the church community—parents, other caring adults, and teens. They work in teams of four supported by an active RE Committee and staff members Natalie Fenimore and Carol Jensen.
The second Sunday of every month children (kindergarten -6th grade) join their parents for the first part of the Sanctuary Worship Service. We call this Together Time. Several times a year there are full-length All Ages Worship Services in the Sanctuary. All other Sundays children (kindergarten -6th grade) come together for a short worship in the Chapel of the Program building before going to class. Chapel is lead by DRE Natalie Fenimore and others. |
