UUCF Communications Specialist

UUCF is seeking a part-time Communications Specialist responsible for implementing the overall communications strategy, utilizing a multi-faceted and multi-media approach to effectively communicate information related to congregational ends, values, programs and schedules. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: writing and editing for a variety of media, including Constant Contact announcements, social media, blogs, newsletter articles and web pages; developing communications plans and strategies; developing, managing and maintaining an interactive, dynamic website; developing, maintaining  and monitoring UUCF’s social media presence, including its Facebook page and Twitter feed; creating and publishing the quarterly, online feature newsletter; assisting as needed with enhancing the design, format and preparation of the order of service; designing, creating and/or preparing documents/flyers/letters as needed to promote UUCF activities or issues; promoting UUCF’s public identity through consistent use of the UUCF logo and color/design schemes in all publications; and maintaining UUCF graphic and other communications standards.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required include but are not limited to: Bachelors degree in a related field; strong writing, editing and desktop publishing skills; training and/or experience in electronic media communication and management; the ability to verbally communicate with clarity and sensitivity; strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and multi-media software programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; strong organizational and efficiency time-management skills; and the ability to manage email communication, responding promptly and organizing the information to be used effectively.

UUCF Music Assistant for Children and Youth

UUCF is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Music Assistant for Children and Youth. Duties may include performing and leading music during our Religious Exploration program and directing a young Children’s Choir. Piano and/or guitar skills a plus. This is a part-time position, approximately four hours per week, September-June, three Sundays per month. Salary commensurate with experience.
