Unitarian Universalists for Social Justice

Now in its 10th year, Unitarian Universalists for Social Justice in the Baltimore-Washington-Northern Virginia Region  (UUSJ) is a tax exempt, non-profit organization composed of 26 UU congregations, affiliated groups, and individual members, including UUCF. We believe that working together for justice is an expression of our religious faith. Guided by the principles of Unitarian Universalism, our purpose is to add value to the social justice work of UU congregations, affiliates, and individuals. UUSJ is staffed by two part-time employees, both of whom are ordained UU ministers. Each works 10 to 15 hours per week. UUSJ is funded by donations from member organizations, individual gifts, the Combined Federal Campaign, and foundation grants. Our budget for FY 2009 is approximately $48,000. Office space is shared with Open Door Housing Fund (formerly UU Affordable Housing Corporation).
