Share the Plate

Each month, the congregation gives one-third of the cash from its Sunday plate offerings to a different charity. These charities are nominated by congregants and considered for approval by the UUCF Social Justice Council. Those approved are scheduled to receive one-third of cash collections for a month of Sundays.  

UUCF Share the Plate collections are designed to raise awareness within the congregation about local, regional, national, and international social justice concerns and at the same time give congregants the chance to financially support a wide variety of social justice organizations.

The Social Justice Council generally attempts to support local recipients for six months of the congregational year, and national and/or international recipients for the other six months.
