Mark Vogel

I view the arts as an integral part of worship and life here at UUCF. I enjoy providing programs that encourage community spirit while fostering artistic growth among our members.

I've been UUCF's Director of Music and Arts since August 2007. I received a bachelor's degree in music from the University of Iowa, and a master’s from Manhattan School of Music studying piano with the late Ruth Laredo. Though I'm originally from Iowa, my family and I have been living in the Washington, DC, area since early 2005.

In addition to my position at UUCF, I've performed regularly in the Washington, DC, area, with such organizations as Washington Men’s Camerata, National Master Chorale, Vienna Choral Society, Army Chorus, the Washington Ballet Orchestra, Woodley Ensemble, Lesbian & Gay Chorus of Washington, Capitol Hill Arts Workshop, and others.
