The task force provides education, advocacy, and direct action opportunities. In 2008, the group raised $29,934 for the education of children in Ugandan refugee camps. The amount raised pays for a four-year education for about 100 children. Our partner is BRAC, a non-governmental organization that has pioneered non-traditional education for children too old for first grade. To raise the funds for this educational project, the Ending Global Poverty Task Force sponsored three educational events, one concert by Mosaic Harmony, and one fundraising gala dinner in our Sanctuary.
