Children's and Youth Religious Exploration
UUCF Children's and Youth Religious Exploration (RE) classes are open to the children of all members, pledging friends, and members of the community. We do ask that children and youth who will be attending on a regular basis be registered by their parents by filling out a registration form online.
Our children's RE teachers and are volunteers from the congregational community—parents, other caring adults, and teens. They work in teams of four supported by an active RE Committee and staff members Natalie Fenimore, Minister of Religious Exploration, and Elisabeth Peebles, RE Program Assistant. Adult advisers and Helen Rose, our Youth Ministries Coordinator, work with the senior high RE groups to help facilitate their program.
The first Sunday of every month, children (Kindergarten-6th grade) join their parents for the first part of the Sanctuary Worship Service. We call this Together Time. Several times a year there are full-length All-ages Worship Services in the Sanctuary. All other Sundays, children (Kindergarten-6th grade) come together for a short worship in the Chapel of the Program Building before going to class. Chapel is led by Natalie Fenimore and others. Saturdays will begin with Together Time for all ages on the first weekend of the month (otherwise begin in the classrooms).
Middle schoolers and youth participate in a wide range of social and other activities. Find out about these by clicking on Youth Events/Activities in the Learn More box at right.
