About UUCF

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax (UUCF) was gathered in 1955 as a liberal religious community dedicated to the free and responsible search for religious truth and meaning. We are a diverse congregation of more than 1,100 adults, youth, and children. Gratitude, compassion, love, and spiritual depth are some our most treasured values.

Mission and Vision

UUCF’s mission is to “support each other as we pursue spiritual growth and challenge ourselves to transform the world through acts of love and justice.” Our vision is to “prepare great souls to seek, to listen, to serve."

Unitarian Universalism

Our faith, Unitarian Universalism, is a spiritually alive and justice-centered religion. Unitarian Universalists believe there is truth in all religions but that no one religion has absolute truth. We also believe life it a spiritual journey best experienced in community with others.

Our congregation is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations (UUA), and has adopted the Principles and Purposes associated with that membership. However, like all UU congregations, we are a self-governing entity. You can learn more about what we believe by listening to some of our past weekly sermons.
